School’s out…almost! Join us at the studio for some time to clay this summer! Students ages 8-13 are welcome to join us for our 4-week, kid-focused pottery class. Our instructor, a retired elementary art teacher, will embark on the adventure with your kiddos to create handmade ceramic projects that will become treasured memories. They’ll learn how to make pinch pots and coils, understand how where clay comes from, and use underglazes and glazes to customize their creations. Then, at the end of the session, families are invited to our Class Showcase where students can show off their completed artwork and share their artistic process!
Each session runs for 4 weeks and is held every Tuesday from 10:00am-12:00pm. Parents may drop off at the studio and return to pick up their students at noon. No food is allowed in the studio, but water bottles are encouraged! Each student will receive 12 lbs of clay to use for the suggested hand-building projects or to create a custom project of their choice. Instructors will provide guidance throughout the class sessions. No makeup sessions are available for this workshop type.
