Ready to up your throwing game? Ever wanted to throw a super tall piece on the wheel? Join us for an intermediate/advanced level, short-term class to build your skills and take your pieces to the next level! Over three weeks, our instructor, Matt C. (@_potterylife_) will review centering large amounts of clay, throwing tall and consistent walls, and methods of combining two smaller cylinders to create a taller piece.
The Throwing Tall 3-Week Wheel Class is intended for Intermediate to Advanced throwers who can center roughly 4-6 pounds of clay. A 25lb bag of clay is included in the ticket price.
Classes are Wednesday nights, 6:30-8:30pm and will be hosted at Black Olive Pottery Studio in Concord, NH on the following dates:
Wednesday, November 4, 6:30-8:30pm
Wednesday, November 11, 6:30-8:30pm
Wednesday, November 18, 6:30-8:30pm
Glazing sessions will be scheduled at a later date, after pieces have dried and gone through the bisque firing, as larger (and thicker) pieces require more drying time. More information will be provided during the first class date.
